Real Life Comparison
Ordered this product on a chance that all the negative internet reviews were unfair and decided to take an honest look at this scope before coming to any conclusions. This is a 10 X 40 magnification long range scope with a 35mm main tube/56mm Ob lens. Upon receiving this I took it outside and compared it against a Millett LRS 8 X 25 35mm tube/56mm Ob lens scope, a Leupold 3.5 X 10 1 in tube/40mm Ob lens Police Tacticle Variable and a Bushnell 3200 Elite 10X 1 in main tube/40mm Ob Tactical.

The elevation and windage detents are a bit soft on the Counter Sniper. The image is bright but I noticed that at full magnification (40X)I was not able to bring the image into focus. All scopes were compared to a house approx 2500yds away. The locks on the turrets of the Counter Sniper seemed a bit flimsy as they wobble when unscrewed and one of the locks was tilted. I was able to focus the image using the side focus if I kept it to 18 power and below but anything after that became fuzzy...

Great Benchrest Scope
I am putting up my top of the line Sightron for sale. The reticle is "busy" there is a lot there to get used to and it has taken several trips to the range but I find it great for multiple distances. When "zeroed" at 300, I use the lower crossbar to compensate for wind at 500. The brightness is outstanding. The turret locks are straightforward and effective. The rings are bulky and will not work in all applications. I do not have bolt clearance of the rings on one bolt action. I stripped one of the Allen head screws and that will be a problem. I have ordered Torx screws to replace the Allens furnished. I have shot the best groups ever with this scope.

Good scope
i purchased this scope to go with a new mount i just got for my AR-15. Sighting it in was easy and after about 75 rounds of 5.56 it was still zeroed. clarity, field of vision are great, cross hairs are perfect and offers everything you would need for a deer hunting or recreational scope! Sure, you can go out and drop 100's on other scopes that have rang finders and allegedly do everything but wash the dishes, but seriously, unless your a sniper and targeting thing 1000 yards out, do you really need anything else.

Another great Simmons scope
I've never regretted a Simmons scope purchase. It isn't a Leopold or other scope for several hundred dollars, but then again why do you need those? If you are a military sniper, professional hunter or just overly ambitious and want to reach out beyond 1000 meters then sure go pay $900. Otherwise, this is all you'll ever need
good inexpensive scope
I recieved this as a package deal with a savage 7mm rem-mag rifle. I put a mueller 8X25 mil-dot on the rem-mag and use this on my other rifles. It is made in china and the turrets are low quality but it works quite well. I've used it on the 7mm, .223, and .22lr rifles and it seems to be durable enough . The parralax is not adjustable but works fine at 100 yards and the the eye relief is outstanding at over 4". It's lightweight and has held its zero with changing it back and forth with a holographic sight on the .223. The glass is plenty clear and at 9 power I can see the .223 holes @ 100 yards on white computer paper targets. I don't think it would hold up to dialing the turrets up and back for long range work.

Worth the $$$$
The glass is VERY clear, the reticle is bright and works well when you learn to use it with both eyes open. I'm not disappointed at all with this scope.

Trijicon delivers everything you pay for in quality and service
I'll assume anyone who's reached this point already knows what this scope is all about. What I can tell you is that the scope I received from Amazon was approximately one month old. Obviously, due to the limited life-span of the tritium lamp, obtaining a new scope is important. I have a Trijicon reflex sight that I purchased locally and it turned out to be about a year old at the time of purchase. That's one year less that I can use it.

I'm extremely happy with this purchase from Amazon. And by the way, if you've never dealt with Trijicon before, they are a first-class company in every way.
