Good value
For a basic fishing it's a very good set. I needed a salt water combo set (complete with rod and reel) where the rod came apart in 2 pieces. This is a good set for basic fishing in bays/river and the ocean. You'll definitely need to add some tackle. I went to local sporting goods stores and department stores and was not able to beat the features and price I found here- and with free Amazon shipping its a really good deal.
