VERY POOR PACKAGING
I just received this Rod and Reel Combo, and quite honestly I cant really fault this product. However the packaging was very poor and could have at least been treated to some bubble wrap to protect the rod guides, of course one of the guides was damaged and the rubber insert is missing. I am very dissapointed with the way this was packaged. I will now have to repair this rod before using it, I think the Combo looks and feels great cant wait to test it out......AMAZON YOUR PACKAGING REALLY SUCKS...:(

Be careful
I cannot speak towards the actual quality of this rod & reel. From what I can tell, the reel is excellent. It seems very smooth and tight. The problems lies in the packaging/shipping. As you can see from the description, this item is 7' long. When I received the package today it was less than 5' long. Almost 3' of the rod were intentionally snapped off so the rod could fit in the 5' box. The broken off piece was missing and there was also no packing slip. Why Amazon doesn't ship these in HARD TUBES or with ADEQUATE protection is beyond me. If you are going to order this combo MAKE SURE that you do not need it immediately.
Superior Rod and Reel
Loved using this rod and reel this summer. Great cast capabilities. Would definitely buy this one again, but in different color (pink if available) for my daughter.
