Get out on the trail and handle a wide range of obstacles in the Teva The Links Mid ankle boot. Co-designed and inspired by legendary freeride mountain biker Jeff Lenosky, this men's athletic shoe has a leather and mesh upper with synthetic overlays and a lace closure that always provides a snug, secure fit. Your foot is surrounded in comfort, thanks to a padded tongue and collar, EVA midsole, supportive, lightweight nylon shank, Shoc PadTM heel and Mush-infused footbed for long-lasting cushioning. E-Brake technology in the heel features a reverse lug pattern to give you downhill traction when you're off your bike; arubberized grid over the toe area provides a breathable armor that prevents abrasion or ripping. The Teva The Links Mid boot has a Spider 365 rubber outsole that was designed specifically to interface with the unique platform of a bike pedal.

So far so good
So I just received my teva links mid today and I absolutely love the materials that the company used to make them. Very very well made they come with black laces on them and the nice turquoise blue color laces too! The box also says that some money went towards cleaning a beach which made me feel good about my purchase. I am not sure how snug they are supposed to be though, because typically I use size 11 for sneakers and 10 1/2 for dress shoes....with these I ordered 10 1/2 I figured that would not want them to be too loose. And I just feel that they are very snug I'm talking like if I didn't have to wear socks they would maybe be okay and I'm just so unsure if should keep the 10 1/2 or go exchange them for 11.
Basically my tip for this review is go with the next half size up that you use.
UPDATE: after several single track rides these shoes are definitely holding up still no complaints. I was able to navigate through a creek on one ride and unfortunately had...

Great all around mountain bike shoe!
I've been a dedicated Five Ten wearer for the last few years but had been itching to try the new Teva offering for a while, just had to wait until my 5.10 Minaars wore out enough to warrant spending the money on a new pair of biking shoes.
Really dig the fit on these, they're a little skinnier than my Five Tens and offer a ton more support along the arch and heel. Heel cup really locks your heel in, feels like my Sidis on my road bike, helps a lot with pedalling. The mid top provides great ankle support when hitting large drops or walking over uneven terrain.
The tread pattern works really well which is great since the rubber isnt as sticky as the 5.10 S1 rubber. You dont feel nearly as glued to the pedals as with the 5.10 rubber but the only time I noticed this was climbing rough terrain, when descending I still felt completely locked on to the pedals.
One last comparison between these and the Five Ten Minaars I've been riding for a while - these...
Great Mountain Bike Shoes
Shoes fit great, no need to order a size up or down. I can feel the shoe gripping the pedals. Super comfortable, just what I was expecting. Great for hike-a-bike as well.
