The Black Crossbow scope from Hawke feature a high performance optical system designed to increase your success in the field. The wide angle image is bright and crisp, and the long eye relief eye bell design allows the scope to quickly come up to the eye. The scope features ballistic reticles compatible with the Hawke BRC software, fully multi-coated optics, fast focus eye pieces and 1/2 M.O.A. finger adjustable and resettable turrets. The SR crossbow scope features a red/green illuminated glass etched reticle. The rheostat to adjust the brightness has 5 brightness settings on each color. Powered by a single CR2032 battery. Excellent crossbow scope
This scope is an extremely high quality product with an ingenious reticle that makes range estimation and target acquisition very easy. Like most "ballistic" reticles these days it has aiming points that correspond to various distances, in this case 20, 30, 40 and 50 yards @300fps. The "point" is actually a circle that is suppose to measure about 2" at that distance. There are also hair lines to the left and right that represent 12" (fine) and 24" (heavy). Figure a deer's head is about 12" long from tip of the nose to the base of the ear and you've got a quick range estimation. The circles make aiming very easy because they don't cover the intended POI.

The lighted reticle is also very high quality without any kind of ghosting or starbust that cheaper scopes are prone to. The dimmest setting is all you need and that can be had in green or red. No light comes through the front of the scope that I can see.
