super cool!
I bought this for our RV and my husband LOVES it! The clips are strong, yet safe for his fishing poles.
My only recommendation is to be careful you do not tighten the mounting screws too much or the plastic will crack.

It's OK
Installed in the garage. Mounted on 16inch exposed studs to store rods and reels vertically. Using all 6 rod positions at the same time may not be possible depending on the size of your reels. I have all open faced spinning reels and can only use 5 of the slots. A more useful design would have been either a stairstep arrangement or making the racks 6-8inches longer and leaving more room between rod positions.
Rapala Rod Holder! The Best!
I shopped around tackle shops and was not happy with the fishing rod holders I saw so I checked amazon and found the Rapala rod older. It is the best I have found. Solid, srong and easily mounted to the wall. it is adjustable in terms of how far apart you put the top and bottom and the top locks the rods gently so they won't fall out while also being strong, The bottom section holds the rod butts effectively with out conerns about them falling out. You can mount them vertically or horizontially. You can not beat the price. Other rod holders Ii tried were cheap or poorly designed. Rapala Lock'n Hold works!

Nice case
A well made case that protects the rod well with a divider to seperate the two sections. A nice handle in the middle and the top snaps shut.

St Croix Travel Rod Case
I purchased the RC45 travel rod case. It was a nice carry on for flying to Florida and Turks. It was not an issue for TSA or the airports. The case is padded nicely on the ends with a separation for the two rod pieces (no need for a rod sock). It is an oval shape and does not roll like a round case (nice for going out on a boat). I put my St Croix rod and a light Ugly Stick in the same case for travel to Florida. The hard case really protected the rods.

All it is supposed to be and more
This bag is extrememly well made. There are plenty of pockets and a lot of space. My bag sat in water for four hours and none got inside due to waterproof bottom. The material the bag is made from is very resiliant to bushes and rock out croppings. This I know because I tumbled down an embankment for about 11 feet. Other than a little muddy the bag held up beautifully. I am very satisfied with this bag.

not wide enough for spinning rod
item as described. But NOT wide enough for spinning rod. Perfect for fly rods. Pretty solid plastic provides enough protection for travel. I wouldn't recommend checking it.

Economical and simple item.
The price was right for a simple fishing rod case. It's actually a little flimsy. You can squeeze it and deform the thin-walled inner tube. As long as you don't abuse it, this should last for years. I'd be hesitant to check this on a plane given how flimsy it is.
Good way to go for the price
I have used this rod case for several years and am purchasing another one for my grandson's rod. It provides excellent protection for a rod used under normal circumstances. My first purchase was at a local fishing tackle store and the price was close to $40, so this price on Amazon is a real buy. We will be headed for Gull and June Lakes in the high Sierra next month.

I remember the old days when you bought a nice rod and the case came with it. I have a Fenwick fiberglass rod that I purchased approximately 30 years ago and it came with a beautiful, well constructed case that I still use. I guess those days are gone forever.
